One such success story is Personal Nursing Assistant Yasmin. A theatrical agent with 15 years in arts and entertainment industry, the pandemic catapulted Yasmin into unemployment as the theatres closed.

Yasmin says: “Taking the positive out this terrible situation for so many I looked at the situation as a blank canvas. I had always been intrigued but slightly scared of how to approach enquiring about a career in social care. I have always had a lot of admiration for nurses and carers so guess it was inevitable I’d find my way into this career somehow!

“I’ve been very lucky to find this role and be supported by my amazing colleagues. I’ve really taken to this role; there is nothing more rewarding than helping people achieve a happy, healthy future.

“Amazing to think it took a pandemic to get me here. I love it; it would take an awful lot to tempt me back into a theatrical career,
