Hilton Nursing Partners Training Manager Makes History as Chair of Healthcare Network
In a significant step forward for the representation of social care within healthcare collaboration, Emma Rutterford-Dawkins, Training Manager at Hilton Nursing Partners, has become the Chair of the Support Worker Educators and Pastoral Support Providers Network.
This marks the first time that social care has taken the lead in this important gathering of healthcare professionals, whose mission is to exchange best practices and strengthen support for their peers and trainees.
The network, which focuses on fostering collaboration between Support Worker Educators and Pastoral Support Providers, is designed to improve the journey of support workers by encouraging open conversations and sharing of knowledge among professionals.
Led by Emma the bi-monthly meeting brings together educators and pastoral care providers to share achievements, highlight current themes in support worker development, and ensure best practices are disseminated across the sectors for a more unified approach to support worker education and development.
In her first meeting as Chair, Emma emphasised the importance of including social care in a broader healthcare conversation. “It’s an honour to represent social care in this capacity. By working collaboratively across sectors, we can ensure that support workers, who are essential to both social and healthcare settings, receive the best education and pastoral care.”
This milestone highlights a future where healthcare and social care work hand-in-hand to improve not only patient outcomes but also the wellbeing and professional development of the vital workforce behind them.
